Pork Shōgayaki

(serves 4)

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces pork loin, about 150gr each

Prepare a mixture A:

  • 3-4 tsp ginger juice
  • 1-2 tsp sake
  • 1-2 tsp mirin
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp “ennea” Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Prepare mixture B

  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Lettuce, to serve

Instructions

Marinate the pork in a mixture A for abour 30 minutes, turning occasionally.
Remove the meat from the marinade.

Preheat a large frying pan and add the “ennea” Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Fry the meat quickly squeezing out the liquid, until browned on both sides.
Remove the meat from the pan and drain the oil.

Place the mixtures A and B in the pan and bring to the boil.
Replace the meat and cook gently until the meat is tender (about 15 minutes).
Occasioanly spoon the liquid ovet the meat.

Tear the lettuce into small pieces and cover a plate.
Place the meat on this and pour some of the sauce over. Lettuce with this sauce is quite tasty.
